Litt om meg og arbeidene mine:

Jeg er en britisk-norsk billedkunstner bosatt i Brevik, Telemark. Min oppvekst og kunstutdannelse er fra County Durham i Nordøst England.

Jeg arbeider innenfor et figurativt uttrykk og veksler mellom det konkrete og det surrealistiske. 

Bildene viser det rare i hverdagen, kanskje en uro eller et ubehag, og de gir rom for spørsmål og ettertanke. Mange av mine verk har selvbiografiske undertoner. 

Temaene kretser rundt menneskets og naturens sårbarhet og forgjengelighet, tid, forfall, døden og forandring. Motiv valget er ofte mennesketomme landskap, der ensomheten kan like gjerne kan være personlige som samfunnsomfattende.

Jeg arbeider tverrfaglig innenfor tegning, fotografi, maleri og grafikk.

A little about my work and myself:

I am a British-Norwegian visual artist living in Brevik, Telemark. I grew up and received my art education in County Durham in the North East of England

I work within a figurative expression, shifting between the concrete and the surreal. The images reveal the strangeness of everyday life – perhaps a sense of unease or discomfort – and they create space for questions and reflection. Many of my works carry autobiographical undertones. 

The themes revolve around the vulnerability and transience of humans and nature, time, decay, death and change. My motifs are often deserted landscapes, where the loneliness can be just as personal as it is collective.

I work across disciplines, including drawing, photography, painting, and printmaking.
